February 2013 Newsletter
From the Brewer…
Hard to believe it, but the first month of 2013 is already in the books. With our eventful January here at Perennial and even more planned for the first half of 2013, sometimes it just seems like there aren’t enough hours in the day for Phil, Cory and Chuck to get everything done. Well, that is where I come in. Allow me to introduce myself; I am the new guy, Andy Hille.
I cannot tell you what a pleasure it has been to join the Perennial family at such an exciting time. Last month saw the release of our barrel-aged Abraxas and Aria, our Brettanomyces fermented Belgian Ale in bottles. Both beers have been labors of love, but the reception among the beer drinking community in St. Louis and beyond has been something truly special. Because of your support, we are able to both expand our staff and production capacity, and for that, we are forever grateful.
Enough about us though, let us get to the most important topic, the beer. We are excited to announce that we will be bringing back our Black Walnut Dunkel this month. Black Walnut Dunkel is our rich, malty German-style Dunkelweiss with Missouri black walnuts. But that’s not all! In the near future, look for two more barrel-aged releases, a barrel-aged coffee stout (a collaboration with Sump Coffee) and 17, our barrel-aged mint chocolate stout.
I look forward to meeting everyone in the coming months. If you’re at the tasting room and you see me, please feel to stop me and introduce yourself. . . I’ll be around.
Thanks again and cheers!
